This is a little recap of the German Surf Nationals back in Septembre.
now that it’s snowing and the weather is really crappy there is nothing better than thinking about the surf in summer.
End of Septembre i luckily got a week off from school and my dad and I together with a friend drove down to the french south-west coast. The destination this year was Seignosse, a famous surfing village just a little bit up north of Hossegor. The whole week was actually pretty shitty surf and just the finals had some better waves to offer. The wind was wrecking the surf the whole time, and for some of the juniors the drowner, which were coming in were triple overhead. due to the heavy conditions the first call was made on day 3 i think. I got through the first open rounds, because the one who caught a wave and did a turn mostly got the highest scores. I my journey through the open rounds were stopped by Arne Bergwinkel (U18 Champ) and Alex Tesch (last years Open champ) in the quarter final. Overall I was happy becoming 9th in the open contest. In Juniors I surfed my way through, into the final. Like last year Louis Josek from Cologne and Arne Bergwinkel (Ecuador) were my opponents. The first year of Leon Glatzer in the Nationals came out pretty solid for him becoming first in Under 16 and as the fourth opponent of us three, first in the Under 18 division. In the end I became 3rd in Under18 and I n really happy about it.
Here are some Pictures from The contest enjoy.
I would like to specially thank my father for always supporting me and making things possible. Also thank Philo, Kalli and Mascha for cheering at the beach.
